EV’s Take: Matcha lattes just got a little sweeter.

I’ve been in my matcha era, and I’ve been enjoying trying all different varieties of matcha lattes. A matcha pop-up just opened near my house, and I’ve been going back nonstop for their gorgeous lavender matcha latte. They also have a strawberry matcha latte that looks outrageously delicious! My go-to is the iced lavender matcha latte, so when I saw this bottle of lavender almond milk creamer, I knew I wanted to try to recreate the lavender matcha latte at home. This also gave me the perfect opportunity to review Califia Farms Lavender Almond Creamer.
Generally speaking, I like many of Califia Farms’ products. Their Better Half is a staple for my vegan dishes that need creamy, vegan richness. I’m also impressed at just how many flavor options they have for dairy-free creamers! Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Cinnamon, Pistachio…yes, please! The lavender creamer immediately caught my attention because it’s spring, and it feels like the perfect time to drink all the lavender-flavored beverages.
My only gripe with the creamer is that it is very sweet. I suppose it goes without saying, but you definitely don’t want to make your entire latte using just the creamer. For a standard latte, you maybe need one or two tablespoons of the creamer total. The rest of the liquid can be your favorite nondairy milk, like Califia Farms’ Unsweetened Almond Milk.
For a spring treat? It’s a total winner for me. I could see myself using this to make icing for shortbread cookies or just continuing to add a lovely lavender flavor to my iced drinks this spring.
Califia Farms Lavender Almond Creamer Ingredients
I love a short little ingredient list and Califia Farms delivers there. Their lavender almond creamer contains just four little ingredients.
Here’s what’s in Califia Farms Lavender Almond Creamer:
Organic Almondmilk (Water, Organic Almonds), Organic Cane Sugar, Baking Soda, Organic Natural Lavender Flavor.

While I did find the creamer to be a little on the sweet side, it still doesn’t contain as much sugar as some competitors. For example, Starbucks has a lavender oatmilk creamer that contains 5g of sugar in 1 tablespoon compared to Califia Farms with 3g of sugar.
How to use Califia Farms Lavender Almond Creamer
It’s a coffee creamer, so naturally, adding it to your iced or warm coffee or lattes is the most standard way to use this creamer. However, it would be delicious used in desserts. I also think it would work well mixed into your favorite nondairy yogurt with fruit on top for a little afternoon treat. You could also use it to flavor icing for cookies or dessert breads or make homemade nondairy lavender ice cream.

How did EV use Califia Farms Lavender Almond Creamer?
I created a matcha latte at home, and it was delicious! The first one I made with 4 ounces of the lavender almond creamer was way too sweet. But, to their credit, all 4 ounces of the creamer foamed beautifully! The next matcha latte I made with just 1 tablespoon of creamer added to oat milk which worked perfectly for me.
