Nutpods Pumpkin Spice Creamer has a balanced, spiced flavor perfect for coffee, tea, or oatmeal. The only downside is a subtle, lingering bitterness, which is easily remedied once added to coffee or lightly sweetened with maple syrup.

Price

Nutpods creamer costs about $6.49 for 25.4 ounces. This is a bit expensive compared to dairy-based competitors, but it mostly aligns with dairy-free competitors. For example, Califia Farms Pumpkin Spice Oat Milk Creamer is $5 for 32 ounces, while Almond Malk’s Pumpkin Spice blend is $7.50 for 28 ounces.

Texture

The texture is wonderful—not too thick or too thin. It makes a great addition to coffee or tea without overpowering and works perfectly in oatmeal or overnight oats.

I’ve been on a world tour of all things pumpkin, from my dairy-free pumpkin pie cream cheese review to pumpkin spiced yogurt and now Nutpods dairy-free pumpkin spice creamer. I’ve tried a few other dairy-free pumpkin creamers, which I’ll add to the site soon. Currently, Nutpods’ limited edition pumpkin spice creamer leads the pack. It has a nice, light texture with a balanced spiced flavor. It’s unsweetened, so you won’t get that strange, overpowering sweetness that tends to occur with flavored creamers.

I enjoyed Nutpods’ Dairy-Free Pumpkin Spice Creamer. I found it to be versatile with a nice flavor. A challenge I run into with flavored creamers is that they can taste very artificial with funky undertones, bad aftertastes, or an overpowering flavor that dominates whatever you add them to. That wasn’t the case with Nutpods! The pumpkin spice flavor was well-balanced, albeit a tiny bit bitter. I didn’t find that to be a deal-breaker. It worked beautifully in my iced coffee and overnight oats. I even frothed it up for a morning latte, which worked surprisingly well!

If you’re looking for an autumnal pumpkin spiced dairy-free creamer to add to your rotation this autumn, I strongly recommend Nutpods! I even bought other flavors to try in my coffee over the next few weeks.

I add a few splashes to my afternoon iced coffee, and it’s delicious. Especially as the temperatures are in flux, this is a great way to enjoy the season’s flavors on a warm autumn afternoon.

I steamed the pumpkin spice creamer with my espresso machine and was impressed with the results! The coconut gives it a slightly higher fat content per tablespoon. For context, Oatly’s full-fat oat milk delivers about .5 grams of fat compared to Nutpods’ 1 gram per tablespoon. The difference is negligible, but the fat does help the creamer froth quite nicely. I found the flavor to be even better when steamed. It made for such a cozy autumnal latte!

Prepare the pumpkin base:

  • Mix the pumpkin purée, cream cheese, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Add the creamer and milk and whisk until completely smooth. Add a pinch of salt. Taste the mixture and add more maple syrup if desired.

Add the oats:

  • Add the oats, pecans, and chia seeds and stir untill combined.

Refrigerate the oats:

  • Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.

To serve:

  • Spoon the oats into bowls. If you like your oats extra creamy, stir in a splash of milk. If desired, serve with more crushed pecans and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Enjoy!

Recipe notes

Note 1: If you can’t find Kite Hill Pumpkin Pie Cream Cheese, use your favorite non-dairy cream cheese spread and a bit of extra pumpkin pie spice to taste. I strongly recommend Kite Hill’s Pumpkin Pie Cream Cheese—it’s fantastic!
Note 2: I’ve made this recipe with ⅓ cup of maple syrup, but I found ½ cup counterbalances the amount of pumpkin purée in the oats. You can add more or use less to suit your tastes. I recommend starting with ⅓ cups and adding more as desired.
Note 3: If you can’t find Nutpods Pumpkin Spice Creamer, use 1 cup oat milk and add more pumpkin pie spice to taste.
