The ultimate game day party is almost here! Need ideas for your vegan Super Bowl spread? We’ve got you covered with the best (and worst) vegan Super Bowl snacks.

We’ve spent the last few weeks testing all sorts of store-bought (and homemade!) vegan Super Bowl snacks to bring you a list of our winners (and one loser). It’s a tough job taste-testing all these plant-based treats, but someone’s gotta do it!

Whether you want to keep it easy and keep cooking to a minimum or try making your own tasty vegan snack for your Super Bowl party, our list will give you our faves to keep everyone satisfied for the entire game.

We’ve rated products from Gardein, Daring, Impossible, Jack & Annie’s, and Field Roast to give you a good starting point for your vegan Super Bowl spread. Let’s dig in.

Store-Bought Vegan Super Bowl Snacks

The Winners

Just because the Bills didn’t make it to the Super Bowl doesn’t mean Buffalo doesn’t deserve to be at your Super Bowl party. These two products captured the best Buffalo flavor and are great options for saucy nug and dry nug lovers alike.

1. Jack & Annie’s Buffalo Jack Wings

EV’s illustrious title of Best Vegan Super Bowl Snack goes to Jack & Annie’s Buffalo Jack Wings. While they could go a little more heavy-handed with the Buffalo flavor, we still loved these spicy little nugs. They’re easy to make and you simply cannot eat just one. You will definitely be the MVP of the Super Bowl party if you roll up with these! The jackfruit “chicken” texture is perfect, and you could easily give these a more intense and saucy Buffalo flavor by making a homemade Buffalo dipping sauce or serving them with Daiya’s Vegan Blue Cheese Dressing. YUM!

2. Gardein Ultimate Plant-Based Chick’n Wings

Want to serve a saucy vegan Buffalo chicken wing at your Super Bowl party? Make Gardein your go-to. The Buffalo flavor is 100% spot-on, and the texture of these wings–like most Gardein products–was perfect. The only place where we docked a point was a slight funkiness in the flavor of the “meat” itself, but it was easily masked with the flavor of the Buffalo sauce. All in all, these are a really good option if you’re a saucy chicken wing lover.

Tied for Second Place

If you’re looking for a good vegan Super Bowl snack but are not necessarily committed to Buffalo flavor, these two products may be right up your alley.

3. Daring Buffalo Plant Chicken Wings

Yeah, yeah. I know Buffalo is in the name, but I’m going to be real with you: these don’t taste like any Buffalo flavor I’ve ever had. My husband, a native Western New Yorker, agrees. We love these as a spicy chicken wing option, but don’t call it Buffalo! Regardless, these are super crispy and deliver a delicious spicy flavor we enjoyed. I promise, if you set this out at your Super Bowl table, they will be gone in a flash.

4. Impossible Chicken Tenders

You can’t go wrong with a back-to-basics option on your game-day spread! Impossible Chicken Tenders are nicely seasoned with a crisp coating. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, like Vegan Honey Mustard or Vegan Chipotle Mayo!

The Loser

I hate to be mean, but just like the Super Bowl, there has to be a loser. Unfortunately, this product will not be making an appearance at my Super Bowl party (or on my dinner plate ever again).

5. Field Roast Vegan Buffalo Wings

We did NOT like these at all. The texture was a miss, the flavor was a miss, and it felt more like we were eating sausage than Buffalo chicken wings. The sauce is extremely sharp and acerbic. It was so vinegary that it singed our noses! While we are normally fans of Field Roast, we vote to skip this option at your vegan Super Bowl spread.
